Accelerate MS works to connect Mississippians to economic opportunity by expanding best practices in workforce readiness and career training to meet current and emerging employment opportunities. They strive to align educational training and economic development initiatives to position Mississippi and Mississippians with diverse\, productive\, and well-paying employment. They serve Mississippians by providing awareness of pathways and resources to improve lives through training and education. By doing this\, Accelerate MS also serves the needs of business and industry. \n\n\n\nJohn McKay is the President & CEO of the Mississippi Manufacturers Association. For more than 65 years\, the MMA has been the clear and united voice of industry in the Magnolia State. Industry is the engine that powers Mississippi's economy\, and MMA is an unrelenting advocate in support of measures benefiting manufacturers. MMA also remains vigilant in its efforts to eliminate an unfair\, unnecessary or costly burden on the operations of our state's manufacturing community. Practical\, accurate information is provided to members through active committees\, seminars\, workshops\, regular publications and the website addressing key areas of interest. \n\n\n\nDr. Jesse Smith is the President of Jones College. Jones College prides its self in being accessible and affordable with a variety of academic classes to provide a gateway to success in post-secondary education. Jones College also has 80 career and technical programs to prepare students to achieve personal and economic goals in the workforce.
