Hattiesburg Parks and Recreation and Laurel Main Street are excited to connect our great cities by Amtrak through a guided experience for one of Hattiesburg and Laurel's big holiday weekends December 10 and 11\, 2022.\n\n \n\nFor Hattiesburgers\, you'll have an opportunity to beat the traffic and spend the afternoon exploring and shopping in Downtown Laurel. When you get off the train in Laurel\, our friends at Laurel Main Street will greet you and share the best tips for holiday shopping and eating. You'll meet back at the train station by late afternoon to make it back to Hattiesburg.\n\nFor Laurel residents\, you'll have the opportunity to spend a magical night in Downtown Hattiesburg experiencing the Victorian Candlelit Christmas or a variety of our other festive events like Zoo Lights and Holiday Market. One of our staff will meet you at the train station\, take you to your accommodations and get you the best tips for holiday shopping and dining. You'll be picked up from your accommodations the next morning in time to ride the train back to Laurel.\n\n \n\nThe event is free\, but participants are responsible for booking their lodging and purchasing their train tickets.
