DESCRIPTION:The Laurel Fraternal Order of Police\, Lodge #2\, Krewe of Blue Mardi Gras Parade is set to roll on Saturday\, February 19th\, at 6:30pm through downtown Laurel.\n\n\n\nThe family friendly parade\, sponsored by Bok Homa Casino\, will feature floats\, vintage and specialty vehicles\, and lots of beads and Mardi Gras memorabilia thrown from the floats and vehicles.\n\n\n\nThe parade is a fundraiser for the Laurel FOP Lodge #2 with registration and sponsorship proceeds utilized to fund the annual 'Shop With A Cop' program at Christmas.\n\n\n\nLaurel FOP President Layne Bounds notes\, "We expect a large crowd for this year's Krewe of Blue Mardi Gras parade through downtown Laurel. It's going to be a fun time with lots of participants both in the parade and along the route. Come join us and get ready to catch some beads!"\n\n\n\nThose wishing to enter floats in the parade may obtain an entry from by emailing Laurel FOP President Layne Bounds at boundsmalcolm@yahoo.com. The entry fee for floats is $125.00. The floats will be judged with awards given for first\, second\, and third place.\n\n\n\nResidents of the Pine Belt and visitors alike are invited to come and enjoy this free to attend Krewe of Blue Mardi Gras parade!
