In this role\, she has many responsibilities\, including working with the communications team to implement the cooperative's strategic communications plan\, serving as the company spokesperson\, developing and overseeing the company's social media plan and much more.\n\n\n\nApril became Accredited in Public Relations in 2008 and received the Certified Cooperative Communicator (CCC) designation in 2014. She is the chairman of the NRECA CCC board\, was named a senior practitioner by the Public Relations Society of America and received the Public Relations Association of Mississippi's Professional Achievement Award in 2017. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Ole Miss.
