SUMMARY:Strike Out Abuse Bowling Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Team Guardian is proud to be a part of the 2018- 2019 Leadership Jones County class. Each year the LJC class divides into groups or teams and develops projects with an aim toward improving the quality of life of Laurel and Jones County residents. \n\n\n\nOur team has chosen to work with the Domestic Abuse Family Shelter\, Inc.to provide some much needed improvements to their location.\n\n\n\nThe organization keeps its location undisclosed in order to provide safety and anonymity to the families they shelter and protect. When our team met with the wonderful group of people who run this organization we identified 3 key needs: a new van\, new perimeter fencing\, and new playground equipment. Through the generosity of a local church\, we are excited to say that we have already secured a used van for the shelter.\n\n\n\nOur team is going to build both the fence and the playground\, but of course\, we need to purchase the supplies to make this possible. We also need to secure some additional funds to make any needed repairs to the shelter's new van.\n\n\n\nIn order to raise the necessary funds for this worthwhile project\, Team Guardian is holding a Strike out Domestic Violence Bowling Tournament with all proceeds going toward this project. Of course\, we would love to have you\, your co-workers\, and friends join us at the tournament for a fun-filled night as we Strike out Violence!\n\n\n\nWe will also be giving away small prizes and gift cards to local restaurants!\n\n\n\nSign up as a 4 person bowling team while spots are available or come and hang out and learn more about the Domestic Abuse Family Shelter!\n\n\n\nAdmission is $25\n\n\n\nFor more information about the event or to sign up please email us at strikeoutabuse@gmail.com.
